The Cincinnati Bengals and All-Pro pass rusher Trey Hendrickson resumed talks on a long-term contract extension after spending much of the offseason in a standoff with one another, according to a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

The Cincinnati Bengals might be hurting with the absences of Trey Hendrickson and first-round pick Shemar Stewart right now while contract situations boil over into mandatory minicamp. But other players are taking advantage.

Trey Hendrickson and the Bengals are far apart on a contract, but Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated suggested the team's upcoming minicamp is one worth monitoring.
