The NBA Draft lottery took place on Monday night in Chicago. There were some unexpected developments, but none bigger than the Dallas Mavericks jumping into the top-four and then winning the No. 1 overall pick. Dallas had just a 2.5% chance of entering the top-four, and just a 1.8% chance at landing the top pick ( via NBA PR ).

The Dallas Mavericks may have not had the same NBA Draft Lottery odds if Luka Doncic had never been traded away. But they won the lottery with a 1.8 percent chance at the top pick, anyway, so let's venture into the realm of a Cooper Flagg "What if?
