Fox network president Michael Thorn says he and his team have “been talking” about reviving The Weakest Link “since maybe last summer.” There were “a couple opportunities” at stake, Thorn said on a conference call, the “first to get Jane Lynch back on the network.”

While talking to reporters Sunday in anticipation of Fox’s upfront presentation Monday, Entertainment President Michael Thorn said it was too early to say whether Rogan will return to feed Madagascar hissing roaches to participants in Fear Factor: The Next Chapter (working title).

The network announced that the notorious reality competition series will return for Fear Factor: The Next Chapter, which is described as a “bigger, bolder and more daring” version of the previous show, which ran from 2001 to 2006 (and was briefly revived at MTV for two seasons hosted by Ludacris ).
