Ford is recalling more than a million vehicles due to a software issue that can cause the rearview camera to malfunction, increasing the chance of an accident, government auto regulators said.

Ford has updated two separate recalls over safety concerns about seatbelts and engines, affecting tens of thousands of vehicles nationwide.

Ford stock declined following the recall announcement, trading at $10.18, down $0.13 (-1.26%) as of 11:32 AM EDT on May 28, 2025. The stock showed weakness throughout the trading session with a daily range between $10.17 and $10.34, reflecting investor concerns about the recall’s financial and reputational impact.

There is no denying that Ford makes some of the best cars to buy. Still, this status doesn’t exempt the automaker from recalls. As a result, several popular Ford models on the road today have multiple recalls.
