In The Villages, Florida, Hooters opened its doors on Monday, becoming the first new location since Hooters of America filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year as part of an effort to enable a founder-led buyout and restructuring of the popular restaurant chain.

The new Hooters in The Villages is owned by HMC Hospitality Group. The 4,500-square-foot restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

They shared a poem about it on social media and say it will proudly stay at Casey’s as a tribute to the golden days at Hooters.

So it wasn’t exactly a huge surprise when the Hooters turned up on Live Aid’s Philly lineup as the opening band, to be introduced by Chevy Chase and Joe Piscopo and with a short set that featured “And We Danced” and “All You Zombies.” They were officially hometown heroes.

Hooters fans lined up early for the opening of the new restaurant at Lake Deaton Plaza in The Villages. Mark Eden of The Villages was at the front door at 8:30 a.m. Monday with his buddy, Don Bartlett, for the grand opening of the restaurant. They were the first ones to walk in when the doors were unlocked at 11 a.m. at Hooters.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A vehicle crashed into the Hooters restaurant on Adams Farm Drive. An employee at the restaurant told WTVM that no one was injured and confirmed the women’s restroom was empty at the time of the crash.

The former Hooters location on Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Lafayette will soon be home to a new restaurant also specializing in chicken wings. KOK Wings
