Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber was certainly a difference-maker in the team's latest contest against the Rockies. During the bottom of the seventh inning of the game, the 11-year veteran hit a clutch home run that gave the Phillies a 2-0 lead.

Nola was dealing early Sunday in Washington. Through three innings, he pitched one-hit, no-run ball. Perpetual Phillies killer Josh Bell took him yard for a three-run shot in the fourth though. Things spiraled from there, as Nola later allowed another homer in the sixth, a two-run bop from Nathaniel Lowe, and got the hook.

Not to be upstaged, one at bat later Kyle Schwarber broke open the game with his third homer of the year. He is on a tear to start the season and doesn't look like he needs a torpedo bat (or maybe he'll hit more homers if he uses one?).

You gotta wonder if Kyle Freeland was born under a bad sign. Because, once again, if it wasn’t for bad luck, he wouldn’t have no luck at all.
