Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha, her father's employee, are accused of murdering her husband during their honeymoon in Meghalaya on May 23 over their affair.

Reports have surfaced that Sonam Raghuvanshi allegedly used her cousin Jitendra Raghuvanshi’s account to pay the killers of her husband, Raja. This comes amid suspicions about her family’s business links to the hawala route.

The three accused friends were reportedly paid only Rs 50,000 for their role in the murder. Authorities have confirmed they are long-time friends of Raj. Sonam, sources say, was allegedly pressured into her marriage and manipulated into participating in the murder.
