Michigan State football took a hit on the recruiting trail on Wednesday, as three-star offensive tackle Quinn Buckey, who had been committed to the Spartans since June, announced that he would be reopening his recruitment.

Michigan State football dropped their eighth consecutive game last Saturday, falling on the road to Iowa, 20-17. The Spartans dominated for the majority of the game, until a brutal fourth quarter let a double digit lead slip away, where the Hawkeyes found a way to pull the game out.

While disappointing, falling to the Hawkeyes 20-17, the Spartans did a ton of things right on Saturday, showing a strong sense of growth in the 11th game of the season.
