Smoke is expected to cause red/unhealthy air quality index (AQI) concentrations, affecting everyone in the state. On Friday, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency extended the current air quality alert for all of Minnesota and Wisconsin through noon Monday. Minneapolis is experiencing some of the worst air quality in the world for the second day in a row.
