President Trump’s confirmation that the United States may accept a presidential aircraft gifted from Qatar marked the latest escalation in his clash with Boeing.

President Trump could receive a VIP-configured Boeing 747-8 as a gift from the Qatari royal family and it would be Air Force One, but in name only.

You’d think that no one needs a new jet less than Donald Trump, who already not only owns his own customized Boeing 757, but also as president has free use of a pair of heavily modified 747 jumbo jets that collectively make up Air Force One.
