Three family members of the women killed Sunday afternoon at Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington recounted the chaotic scene in an interview with the Herald-Leader.

Two people were killed at a Kentucky church after a gunman who earlier shot and wounded a state trooper fled there, according to local police.

A Kentucky State Police trooper wrote in an arrest citation that the man was acting belligerent on scene and gave the impression hat he was going to draw a gun.

The day was interrupted when a man came on church property and shot four people, killing two women and injuring two men. The two women were identified as 72-year-old Beverly Gumm and 32-year-old Christina Combs. One man is in critical condition while the other is stable.
