Ryan Coogler's Sinners is finally here and we talked to the filmmaker about what it took to bring his vampire vision to the big screen.

A vampire film set in 1930s Mississippi may seem out of left field for director Ryan Coogler. But its personal ties to the story and explorations of race and belonging are consistent with his four other feature films,

The film is Coogler’s first from his own original idea after making two Black Panther films for Marvel and Creed (2015) as well as Fruitvale Station (2013).
