Forty-seven people were injured in separate crashes about an hour apart in nearly the same spot on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County on Sunday, authorities said. The first crash happened at 12:55 p.m. when one bus rear-ended another at milepost 56.5 in Chesterfield between exits 7 and 7A, State Police said.

Dozens of motorists were injured in ‘chain-reaction’ crashes on the New Jersey Turnpike. Nearly 40 people were reportedly hospitalized Sunday.
