Iran launches missiles at central and north Israel as the Israeli military carries out further strikes in Iran.

Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles toward Israel on Friday night in retaliation for Israel's surprise attack early Friday. Israel struck at the heart of the Iran's nuclear program, killing several nuclear scientists as well as high-ranking military leaders, according to Israeli officials.

Israel carried out a wave of airstrikes on Iran that it described as a "preemptive" and "combined offensive" on the country to hack away at Tehran's nuclear program. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attacks had taken out many of its adversary's ballistic missiles.
