Trash builds up on Everest every season. Drones are now carrying it down. For some adventurers, scaling Mount Everest represents the ultimate test of grit and determination: a visual signifier of humanity’s epic struggle to overcome the elements.
Polish climber, Andrzej Bargiel, became the first person to climb Mount Everest and ski down without the aid of supplemental oxygen. The 37-year-old did so in partnership with Red Bull, an energy drink company that often sponsors athletes in their extreme sport endeavors. His journey is documented on his Instagram @andrzejbargiel.
