Ahead of mid-term elections in May, Philippine politics seems destined to be consumed by the Marcos-Duterte feud.

The Philippine House of Representatives has impeached Vice President Sara Duterte on charges of corruption, abuse of power, and making death threats against President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Romualdez Marcos Jr.

Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte has been impeached by the House of Representatives after more than the required number of legislators signed a petition to remove her from office. The House’s secretary general Reginald Velasco told a plenary meeting of the lower chamber of congress that at least 215 legislators have signed a petition to impeach Ms Duterte.
