trueWeather meteorologist Mark Shanaberger posted on X on Tuesday: "A low-pressure system will track across the U.S. next week, bringing snow to parts of the Midwest and Northeast and severe storms to the South March 3-5. Its exact path remains uncertain, but that will ultimately determine the placement of the snow swath."

Tornadoes may hit the Mississippi Valley on Friday, as well as blizzards in the northern Plains and gusty conditions in Texas that pose a high risk of wildfires.
