Former Florida State baseball star and current Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is chasing Barry Bonds' home run record and Aaron Judge's AL mark.

Cal Raleigh has won the 2025 Home Run Derby, defeating Junior Caminero in the final. Raleigh leads MLB with 38 home runs this season. He is the first catcher to win the event and the second Seattle Mariner to do so after Ken Griffey Jr.

While the Seattle Mariners slugger has plenty to look back on from his first-ever All-Star selection, he can also look forward to trying to maintain his blistering home run pace.

Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez was crowned 2024 Home Run Derby champion after defeating Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. in the finals. Hernandez slugged 14 homers in the final round, one more than Witt, to become the first Dodgers player to win the Derby title.

Raleigh isn't the first player to choose his father as his Home Run Derby pitcher. Bryce Harper won the derby in 2018 with his dad, Ron, pitching to him, while Robinson Cano won in 2011 with his dad, Jose, on the mound. Adley Rutschman, meanwhile, had his dad pitch in the 2023 Home Run Derby.

Raleigh became the first catcher in Home Run Derby history to win the event, outlasting Junior Caminero in the finals.
