With the loss to the Fever, the Sky have suffered five straight losses on the season and fallen to 7-18, the second-worst record in the WNBA.

The Chicago Sky and Angel Reese have not had a good year so far. During the 2025 WNBA season to this point, the Sky hold a 7-19 record. On Tuesday night, Chicago was hoping to come through with a big road win against the Washington Mystics. That was not the case. Instead, the Sky ended up falling to the Mystics by a final score of 103-86.

The Sky parted ways with veteran guard Moriah Jefferson, whose tenure in Chicago was plagued with a series of injuries. She played in only 19 of the Sky's 41 games since she joined the team in a July 17, 2024 trade. The 5-foot-6 guard had missed the Sky’s last game due to a leg problem before she was waived on Monday.
