Storm surveys are underway following a night of severe weather across North Texas. As of Monday afternoon, at least one tornado has been confirmed near the City of Gordon, located about 66 miles west of Fort Worth. Gordon ISD canceled classes for the week due to extensive damage on campus from the storms.
The highest chances of severe weather will be in North Texas, but chances will stretch into the Texas Hill Country as well.
London, Ky. — More tornadoes plowed through the central U.S. on Monday, ripping apart buildings and knocking out power as people from Texas to Kentucky continued to clean up from days of severe weather that killed more than two dozen people and destroyed thousands of homes and buildings.
The town of Gordon, Texas, located in southern Palo Pinto County, is picking up the pieces after multiple tornadoes ripped through the area Sunday night, leaving behind a trail of destruction. An EF-1 tornado was confirmed in and near Gordon on May 18,
At least 31 million people are at risk for severe storms from central Texas to Iowa on Monday, with hazards including large hail, damaging winds and several possibly strong tornadoes.
