Recent layoffs at Respawn were part of a wider staff cut wave at EA, and one of the studio's canceled projects was Titanfall-related, per a new report.

In a statement, the developer says it is making “adjustments” to its Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi teams, the latter of which is currently working on a follow-up to 2023’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The developer has also ceased development of two “early-stage incubation projects.”

IGN reports that about 100 employees at Respawn were laid off, including developers, QA workers, and publishing staffers. IGN also says that some workers were moved from Respawn over to EA Motive’s Iron Man game, the Battlefield series, “and other projects.”
