Ryan Donato’s team-leading 23rd goal wasn’t enough to stave off the Chicago Blackhawks’ 4-3 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night.

The NHL out-of-town scoreboard was extra kind to the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night. The Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets both had a chance to pull farther away from the Senators, but both clubs suffered regulation losses.

Tim Stutzle scored on a deflection off his skate at 46 seconds of overtime to give the Ottawa Senators a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night.

After a 4-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings last night, Utah has now won four of its last five games and is just three points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Brady Tkachuk, David Perron and Josh Norris all scored for the Senators alongside Tim Stützle who netted the overtime winner. Drake Batherson and Jake Sanderson both had two-point outings with a pair of assists each.

Ryan Donato was at the right place at the right time on Wednesday night, as has been the case for much of this 2024-25 season. The play looked like it would be whistled down for icing after a long stretch pass from the Chicago end hit Artem Zub’s skate before ricocheting into the Ottawa end.
