Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes has backed Calvin Ramsay to reignite his career at Rugby Park after signing the defender on loan from Liverpool
Manager Derek McInnes hopes to rediscover the qualities that earned Calvin Ramsay a move to Liverpool during the right-back's loan at Kilmarnock. After breaking through at Aberdeen, a rapid rise resulted in the 21-year-old making the move to Anfield in 2022.
Dons: Rangers v Aberdeen:
Duk grabbed a second-half double to settle the game, but it was Shayden Morris (right) who was the driving force for Aberdeen until then, the winger opening the scoring, being denied a second by the post and constantly worrying the Elgin City defence with his pace as his side advanced to the Scottish Cup last 16.
Graham Leggat's remarkable claim to fame wouldn't be bettered until five decades later when Sadio Mané, then of Southampton, decimated Aston Villa in a Premier League match in 2015.
Since his move to Anfield in 2022, Ramsay has had a nightmare few years. But while a new loan move back to Scotland with Kilmarnock may represent his final chance to have a future at Liverpool, Ramsay simultaneously could yet be presented with a huge opportunity.
