Jesús Ferreira was released early from the U.S. men’s national team camp, but the Sounders forward said Friday it was only to continue his offseason rehab with his new team.

Ferreira was given an "individual training program" after initial physical testing with the USMNT, and will instead join the Seattle Sounders — who he joined earlier this month in a huge MLS trade — before they depart for preseason training in Spain.
