Michigan basketball head man Dusty May takes a subtle jab at the refs after a 30-minute overtime. The Wolverines were victorious, but many were questioning the refs after the extra round took over 30 minutes to complete.

The one flaw in this Wolverines offense has been turnovers but they've done a better job of taking care of the ball lately and Minnesota doesn't apply much ball pressure. The Gophers prefer a sluggish tempo but won't be able to slow down Michigan's offense here.

Donaldson found Roddy Gayle for a dunk to spark the final push, and after a Penn State turnover at the other end, he managed to corral a loose-ball offensive rebound thanks to Will Tschetter’s heads-up effort in the paint. Donaldson then knocked down a mid-range jumper to cut the lead to 72-71, and suddenly the home crowd was on its feet roaring.
"Sometimes these things happen," Michigan basketball coach Dusty May said. "We're going to learn from this and we've got a lot of basketball to play."
A little over three weeks ago, Southern California coach Eric Musselman stated, with no hesitation, that forward Danny Wolf would be in the NBA next season. At that point, Wolf and the Michigan men’s basketball team had played just four games in the Big Ten.
