Greater Good Charities and the San Diego Humane Society transported 50 animals to Oregon to aid pets displaced by Los Angeles fires.
Approximately 50 adoptable pets are arrived at PDX on Friday afternoon to help other pets that have been displaced by the devastating wildfires which sparked in Los Angeles last week. The nonprofit Greater Good Charities moved these pets from the San Diego Humane Society and other shelters to help support overwhelmed shelters in the Greater Los Angeles area.
More than 20 dogs and cats were flown to Portland from San Diego to help ease the burden of shelters in the Los Angeles area on Friday.

According to the Oregon State Fire Marshal, 15 strike teams arrived Thursday and as of Friday morning 11 of the teams are already working to fight the flames.
