Mass., on CNN Friday demanded Senate Democrats to risk a government shutdown by opposing a must-pass spending bill being considered on the Senate floor today.

Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) became the third Senate Democrat to publicly support advancing the House-passed stopgap funding bill, as a potential government shutdown looms. The Senate will vote on cloture Friday for the spending bill that would keep the government funded at current levels through the end of September,

Chuck Schumer, the top Democrat in the Senate, said he would vote to end the filibuster, indicating sufficient support among other party members to allow vote on Republican bill.
