The saga between the state of Missouri and the threat of the Kansas City Chiefs relocating has reached an important step. Per a report from the Associated Press, there have been hundreds of millions of dollars dedicated to convince the Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals from relocating to Kansas.
In Jefferson City, the special legislative session ended in a show of bipartisanship as the House approved three Senate bills intact and sending them to the governor, including his request to come up with a funding plan to keep pro teams the Chiefs and Royals in Missouri.

Marshall Republican State Sen. Kurtis Gregory presents Missouri’s plan to incentivize the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals to stay in the state. “If these teams leave, there will also be no other general revenue collected from these teams any longer to be used for things across the state,” Gregory said.
The legislative package includes hundreds of millions of dollars in financial aid as the Chiefs looks to renovate Arrowhead Stadium and the Royals look to build a new ballpark.
