Officials in Green Bay say three people are without a home after a fire on the west side of the city caused an estimated $20,000 worth of damage Tuesday evening.

After it was a finalist in 2021, Green Bay was chosen as a winner this year for "making the city a welcoming and supportive place for everyone."

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Three residents are displaced after a kitchen fire Tuesday night on Green Bay’s west side. The Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded to the report of an apartment with smoke from a small cooking fire. The incident was on the 500 block of South Fisk Street on the city’s west side.

Officials with the City of Green Bay announced Wednesday morning that the City would no longer be participating in the yearly ‘No Mow May’ campaign.
