Brown was briefly detained after gunshots rang out outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami early Saturday morning.

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, who has a history of run-ins with the law, disputed reports that he was arrested again overnight Saturday in his native South Florida.

Antonio ‘AB’ Brown said he was involved in a physical confrontation at Adin Ross’ boxing event in Miami on May 17, during which gunshots were allegedly fired. Brown said he was ‘temporarily detained,’ and police confirmed to PEOPLE that no arrests were made.
