The Cleveland Guardians picked Ole Miss baseball infielder Luke Hill in the fourth round of the 2025 MLB Draft

Through the first two days of the 2025 MLB Draft, the Rebels have had nine names called, the most since 2014: Mason Morris could decide to go as his slot bonus is near a million dollars. It starts to get interesting with Luke Hill as he will likely make more in NIL next season and possibly improve his draft stock.

Junior third baseman Luke Hill has played up to his billing of a strong draft prospect. Hill started 63 games for the Rebels in 2025 and had a team-high .336 batting average and a team-high 82 hits. Hill also worked more walks (46) than strikeouts (43). He is ranked No. 91 in MLB.com's draft rankings.
