Elizabethton native Evan Carter got the call up to the big leagues on Tuesday – and immediately made an impact in Texas’ victory over the Boston Red Sox. Carter went 2-for-5 from the plate and scored a run in the 6-1 road win.

Evan Carter has been recalled by the Texas Rangers from Triple-A Round Rock. The outfielder had been there all this season after being hurt most of last year following his impressive debut late in the run to their only World Series title in 2023.
