Weather warnings have been upgraded to amber for most of Scotland as Storm Floris bears down on the UK.The warning lasts from 10:00 BST on Monday through to 22:00 and warns of danger to life as damage to buildings and trees due to storm conditions is expected.

The amber warning of severe weather applies to Scotland, which is set to face the worst of the storm when Floris hits on Monday, while a yellow warning covers the North East, along with the north west, Ireland and Wales, where up to 60mph winds are predicted at the coast and on higher ground plus 50mph inland.
