The CPSC and Walmart have issued a voluntary recall notice for consumers to get a full refund and stop using or return the Ozark Trail water bottle immediately.

Walmart recalls Ozark Trail 64 oz stainless steel water bottles due to serious impact and laceration hazards from forcefully ejecting lids, with multiple injuries reported.

Around 850,000 Ozark Trail 64-ounce (oz) Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles are being recalled by Walmart due to reports of facial injuries after being struck by the lid after it was ejected upon opening, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Two consumers have been left with permanent vision damage after being hit in the eye.
