Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe exited New York's Friday game against the visiting Boston Red Sox with a left elbow contusion and was undergoing x-rays and a CT scan. Volpe was hit on the elbow with a changeup by Walker Buehler with the bases loaded in the second inning to give the Yankees a 7-0 lead.
