LAS VEGAS — A crosswalk where a high school senior was struck and killed in Las Vegas will receive safety enhancements, city officials said Wednesday.
The city of Las Vegas will begin adding more roadway safety enhancements near Arbor View High School this summer after a student was killed while crossing the street last month.
Las Vegas officials said roads will be improved around Arbor View High School after 18-year-old McKenzie Scott was killed in a marked crosswalk by an alleged drunk driver.
"Urban trees are not a silver bullet for cooling our cities, particularly for desert cities like Las Vegas," Henao said. "But they provide significant shade and, of course, other benefits.
