Boy, three, hospitalised after dog attack
A toddler required surgery after being bitten in the face by a dog in Ayrshire. The three-year-old boy was injured when the animal, described as a cream-coloured Staffordshire Bull Terrier, approached him in Leven Place, Irvine at about 18:00 on Thursday. He was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock for surgery after the attack.
