The Kootenai County Sheriff and others at the Coeur d'Alene town hall will be investigated by an outside agency after a woman was dragged out of the event.

Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White condemned the actions of private security guards who pulled a woman from her chair and dragged her out of an Idaho legislative town hall.

A legislative town hall meeting in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, spiraled into turmoil recently when private security personnel forcibly removed a female heckler, igniting controversy and prompting multiple investigations.

Efforts by the defense to present arguments of other possible perpetrators would “result in undue delay, waste of time, (and) would be a needless presentation of cumulative evidence,” the prosecution said.
