Sitanshu Kotak, former Saurashtra batter, has been appointed as India's batting coach for the upcoming limited-overs series against England and the Champions Trophy. His appointment comes amid scrutiny of Abhishek Nayar's performance after a challenging series against Australia.

Sitanshu Kotak is set to join the Indian team as the batting coach ahead of the white-ball series against England. The former Saurashtra player, has coached the Indian team before when Rahul Dravid was on a break.

India has been under fire following consecutive series defeats: a 0-3 loss to New Zealand at home and a 1-3 drubbing in Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Both losses highlighted glaring issues with India's batting lineup.

Kotak flew to Australia with the India A side in November 2024 and is currently the head coach of the India A team.
