Singer Taeil is facing the music — to the tune of more than three years in prison — for a sex crime that prompted his departure from the K-Pop group NCT.

The singer pleaded guilty to a special quasi-rape charge, which applies when two or more people jointly engage in sexual acts with a victim who is unconscious.

The singer, who was removed from the group in August 2024 after their label confirmed that he had been connected to the criminal case, will serve three-and-a-half years in prison
