Popular accessory maker Anker this month launched two separate recalls for its power banks, some of which may be a fire risk.

Through the investigation, fire investigators learned that the owner was utilizing an Anker PowerCore 10000 power bank to charge his cellphone, the spokesperson stated.

According to a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the lithium-ion battery inside certain "PowerCore 10000" made by Anker, a China-based electronics maker, can overheat.

Anker has recalled over 1.1 million PowerCore 10000 chargers after 19 reports of fires and explosions, urging customers to stop use and request a replacement.
