BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) — Thailand and Cambodia reaffirmed their shaky ceasefire violation after days of fighting along their border, as China stepped into negotiate with the two countries.

The talks between commanders on both sides were seen as a crucial test of whether the cease-fire deal reached on Monday would result in a lasting peace.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that it would come into effect at midnight local time, 1.pm Easter Time Monday July 28.
