The TSA has banned cordless curling irons with a gas cartridge, butane, lithium metal or lithium ion batteries from checked bags, restricting them to carry-on luggage, according to the agency. Those cordless curling irons are one of the hazardous items the Federal Aviation Administration says can leak, cause toxic fumes, catch fire or explode.
