The Dallas Wings are heading into a new WNBA season with high hopes after acquiring Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Bueckers is making the move to Dallas after playing four seasons with the UConn Huskies.

The No. 1 pick of the 2025 WNBA draft scored 15 points as the Wings claimed an 119-52 win over the Toyota Antelopes of the Women's Japan Basketball League. The crowd gave Bueckers a loud cheer as she took the court at College Park Center for her first WNBA action at home. Bueckers was visible early in the game as both a playmaker and scorer.
