It's slight and indirect, but there appears to be a subtle influence from Hurricane Melissa on Colorado's weather later this week. Notice the expansion and slight westward (retrograde) movement of the blue on the map below. Part of that appears to come from a strengthening upstream NW Pacific trough. The other part? Melissa's pressure vacuum and the apparent southern push of the secondary trough below. The result for (eastern) Colorado will be a notably cooler Halloween than previous forecasts.
