Giant hail has smashed Clifton this afternoon as a powerful supercell tore through the Southern Downs. Footage shared by Nat Klotz shows ice blanketing the ground and bouncing violently off hard surfaces as the storm hit. Reports suggest hailstones up to 8–10 cm have fallen in parts of the region, damaging vehicles and property.
