Phyllis's entree into the world of radio began with her long-standing friendship with Maye Hampton James-Holler, who took Phyllis's 1976 song, "Baby", to radio. Maye was the VP of promotions at Desert Moon/Roadshow Records - the first label to sign Phyllis. Sadly, Maye passed away earlier this month. Thank you, Maye, for all you did for Phyllis.
