Hundreds of robots move an entire city block in China In Shanghai’s Zhangyuan district, a 7,500-tonne complex of historic Shikumen buildings was moved to a new location—not demolished, but walked. 🏡 To preserve the 100-year-old architecture while clearing space for underground development, engineers used hundreds of robotic legs to slowly shift the entire structure. Moving at a pace of about 10 meters per day, each robotic “foot” gently lifted and nudged the building forward in tiny, precise st
